Nakisozi Barbra Eva using fashion to empower girls, women.

Nakisozi also serves as Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Belyn Fabrique Modelling Agency and Creative Director of Fearless Walk Models. She is a multi-faceted force in the domain of beauty and fashion. 

With a degree in Tourism and Hospitality, a diploma in Computer Engineering, and another in Fashion Designing, she blends brains, beauty, and business into a dynamic career dedicated to impact.

According to her, in 2012, she established the Belyn Fabrique Fabulet, which to her is more than a fashion and design company. 

“I started Belyn Fabrique to empower the young generation, especially girls and women. I wanted to show them that everything is achievable if you just believe in yourself,” Nakisozi said.

She stated that her journey into fashion and beauty began at a young age and was inspired by the late Princess Diana. 

“She was my idol. Watching her grace and humanitarian spirit made me want to follow in her footsteps. That dream pulled me into the world of fashion and pageantry,” Nakisozi stated.

She recounted that building a fashion brand has not been without its challenges. According to Nakisozi, the country’s fashion industry is still developing. 

“Most people still lean toward buying ready-made clothes from abroad,” she explained, adding that: “There’s a lack of support and appreciation for local designers, so we have to be even more creative, unique, and persistent to succeed”.

Despite the hurdles, Nakisozi noted that she has been able carve a niche by fusing African aesthetics with bold modern styles, positioning her brand as a symbol of authenticity and empowerment. 

For her, through workshops, mentorship programmes, and modelling opportunities, she helps young women and girls break through social and economic barriers using fashion as a tool for transformation.

She added that as delegate for Miss Africa United for East Africa, Ocean Islands and Melanesia and International Miss Africa Committee, IMAC. 

She said, she is determined to continue showcasing talent as well as the rich cultural heritage of the African continent. “I want the world to see the strength, beauty, and creativity of African women,” she said.
