Nguti Subdivision: Hon Dr Fonge Julius offers equipment to health centres.

The donation was made on the sideline of the 53rd edition of the National Day Tuesday, May 20. Dr Fonge handed the equipment to the District Medical Officer, DMO, of Nguti Health District to distribute to the beneficiary health centres.

Fonge told The Guardian Post that the offer is destined for health centres in the localities of Ayong, Babobuck, Elumba Mbo/Etudi, Nguti District Hospital, Njuinyue, Njungo, Ntale and Bermin. 

The items comprised delivery beds, mattresses, admission beds, solar panels, solar battery, surgical equipment, drugs servers, blood pressure machine, adult weighing scale among others.

The MP expressed gratitude to the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze, for the assistance given him to execute the project. He also extended appreciation to the Director General, DG, of the Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilisation Fund, CSPH, Okie Johnson Ndoh, for multiform assistance in delivering the equipment to the health facilities. Dr Fonge called for the responsible use of the donated equipment in the interest of the population. 

“...our population needs a healthy mind in a healthy body to wisely cast their votes for our natural candidate president Paul Biya come October...,” Hon Fonge further stated.

He added that more villages will in the days ahead benefit from road and electrification projects.

Hon Fonge’s consistency 

The MP noted that the offer adds to that of street lamps to 20 out of the 54 villages that make up Nguti Subdivision. The beneficiary villages of the lighting project were Ayong, Babensi I, Badun, Bambe, Mungo Ndor, New Konye, Bombe Konye, Babobuck, Bermin, Nongomadiba, Nkwenfor, Mbetta, Sekangha,Njungo, Lebock/Ngientu, Njuinyue amongst others. 

Since voted to Parliament, the MP has remained consistent in assisting children across Nguti and the entire population. This has been so in terms of sponsoring some into professional schools and helping others sit for competitive recruitment exams.

In communities such as Mongo Ndoh and Banyue, he has been at the fore of supporting social projects and promoting peace through sports. He has also offered varied support to the Nzo Ekangaki Football Club NAMFA.

Hon Fonge some time ago gave financial assistance for the rehabilitation of the roof of Government School Fonki. He also provided bundles of zinc for Government School Lebock. 

Government Technical School, GTC, Nguti has also benefited from Hon Fonge’s parliamentary work. With the collaboration of the population, he oversaw the construction of a public toilet in GTC Nzelleted. Other schools that suffered destruction linked to winds also received support from the MP to acquire roofing sheets.

Hon Fonge equally assisted Government School Mboa to rebuild classrooms that were destroyed by rains. He has also consistently offered didactics to boost schooling across Nguti.
