At Bangem rally: Lower Mbo population thanks Biya for Bangem-Nguti road.

The population of Lower Mbo clan in Nguti Subdivision, Kupe Muanenguba Division of the South West Region, has thanked President Paul Biya for the ongoing construction of the Bangem-Nguti stretch of road.

The people of the area voiced their words of gratitude on Saturday, May 3, in Bangem.



This was during a mega thank you meeting organised sons and daughters of the administrative unit.

The initiative was spearheaded by elite of Kupe Muanenguba led by the Minister, Assistant Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, Elung Paul Che.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event on behalf of the people of Lower Mbo, Chief Ashuta Thomas of Etawang village, thanked President Biya for the gift.

Chief Ashuta who doubles as the Vice President of the Nguti Chiefs Conference rejoiced that with the tarring of the road, the people of area will be able to have access to take their farms and markets.

The traditional ruler said the opening of the roads in Lower Mbo area passing, through Nkongho Mbeng clan is the fruit of the loyalty of the people of Lower Mbo in particular and Nguti Subdivision in general.

The Chief of Etawang promised to rally his population behind the Head of State ahead of the upcoming presidential election.

He said the opening of the road network in Lower Mbo has come with enormous challenges like building of bridges. He said the people of the area are thus calling on government to rehabilitate some of the bridges linking villages in Lower Mbo.

While thanking government for the disenclaving the area, Chief Ashuta said the joy of the people of Lower Mbo can't not be expressed by mere words.

“We are very excited and that explains the reasons for our massive turn out in Bangem for the grand rally,” he said.

He has praised the Member of Parliament, MP, for Kupe Muanenguba II constituency, Hon Dr Fonge Julius Fongouck and Okie Johnson Ndoh for their ingenuity in ensuring the success of projects in Nguti.
