Ahead of EMMI Global Business Summit: EMMI Empire promises massive empowerment, dev’t of young entrepreneurs.

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of EMMI Empire who doubles as Ambassador for Youth Connekt, Dr Erise Mary Mbunui Dinga, has promised Cameroonian young entrepreneurs a massive empowerment and development experience for the 2024 EMMI Global Business Summit and Award.

She made the disclosure during a press conference organised in Yaounde on October 23. It was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education.

The EMMI Global Business Submit and Award is set to witness the launching of the EMMI Empire Magazine, which portrays all its work and achievements in the past years.

Dr Erise Dinga used the press conference to unveil the date of the summit, which is scheduled to take place on November 13 to 14, and the activities to be carried out during the event.

The two-day summit programed for Yaounde, is free for all young entrepreneurs. It will take place at the Red Cross hall. It is expected to be attended by Africa’s biggest entrepreneurs and financial organisations to help bring the dreams of the young entrepreneurs to life.

Dr Erise Dinga disclosed that it will be the biggest entrepreneurial empowerment summit organised by EMMI Empire and the Ministry of Youth Affairs through an MoU signed with EMMI Empire and the Ambassador of Youth Connekt programme.

Entrepreneurial summit for youth

Speaking during the press conference, Dr Erise Dinga said the 2024 summit aligns with the Head of State’s message to the youth in February, to encourage youth entrepreneurship and empower the youth with skills.

“During the Head of State’s speech to the youth, he said we should encourage entrepreneurship, which is exactly what we have embarked on for close to 10 years. We empower youth with skills in becoming leaders and having financial independence. That is why we went towards the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Edition this year,” Dr Erise Dinga said.

She disclosed that the holding of the summit is to commemorate the World Entrepreneurship Week where youth who are hoping to make something of themselves will be trained and empowered with skills to develop their potentials.

Dr Erise Dinga underscored the need for Cameroon to build youth who are entrepreneurial.

“I have worked with the youth. Our youths don’t want to work until you give them a job. They don’t want to learn a trade to the end; they are always in a hurry,” she said.

Stating the desire to hold the conference every year, she said this edition will set the pace for participants as it will be a forum to network, learn and be able to transform their minds.

The event, it was disclosed, will feature investors from all around the world, top dignitaries from other countries who will empower the youth of Cameroon through their experiences in life.

Expectations from the submit

Dr Erise Dinga disclosed that during the summit the youth should expect adequate networking for their businesses and a good connection with top officials.

She also added that the young entrepreneurs should expect a change in mindset after attending the summit.

“We are expecting a mindset change because we know that Cameroon is so rich that we have not exploited anything. So we believe that coming together we can produce an idea that will bring development. We joining hands with others out there to ensure we build youth who are hardworking and determined to change the country by work and not by talking,” she stated.
