At working visit: Minister salutes exploits of young Cameroonian trainees in Germany.

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounauna Foutsou, has saluted the exploits of some young Cameroonians currently acquiring skills in different disciplines in Germany.

The member of government made the assessment during a recent visit to Germany.



He visited compatriots acquiring skills in engineering and logistics. The two youngsters who are placed in different companies in the European nation used the visit to showcase their knowhow to the visiting minister.

In the course of his visit, a team of some Cameroonians based in Germany took the minister of a guided tour of other enterprises. He was also given similar treatment by another group of Cameroonians known as My African Partners.

One of the trainees, Rodrigue Gwedi, who is acquiring skills in engineering told the minister that he had acquired skills to be able to do his work diligently.

“I have carried out practical works using the latest tools and machines in road construction,” Gwedi told Minister Mounouna, before promising to return to Cameroon after hid training to set up a company.

At the Wolff Muller company, Rebecca Scheffler, an official in charge of training expressed delight at the opportunity they have to trained young Cameroonians.

“We are very proud of the young people because they are very motivated,” Scheffler is said to have noted, adding that language was initially a major hurdle but assured that, the Cameroonian trainees are coping.

On his part, the City Mayor of Ohringen City, Thilo Michler, is said to have stated that Cameroon and Germany can work together to achieve great things.  The municipal authority sounded positive that at the end of their training, the young people will contribute to Cameroon’s development.

Still in the same light, the Central General Manager of Lotter Group Germany, Ralf Von Briel, also said the trainees have overcome the language barrier and are scoring the best grades.

“From the beginning they were very interested, very friendly and scored very good grades. we are very happy that two young guys from Cameroon came over to learn in our company and they are doing very well,” Von underscored.

With the positive feedback received, the Minister and his team encouraged the Cameroonian trainees to continue the good work and remain disciplined.
