Tradex Cameroun unveils silver jubilee commemorative activities.

Tradex Cameroun, the secular arm of the National Hydrocarbons Company, SNH, specialised in the marketing of petroleum products, has unveiled a plethora of activities designed to commemorate its 25th anniversary. 



The plans and various schedules were revealed during a visit to the company’s headquarters in Bonanjo, Douala, by members of Douala branch of the Cameroon Journalists' Trade Union, CJTU, 

The visit took place on Wednesday October 16, 2024. A cross section of journalists of the union were part of the delegation, led by its national president, Marion Obam. 

The journalists were received by Tradex Interim General Manager, Emmanuel Patrick Mvodo.

Through the tour, the media men and women were made to discover the various departments of the four-floor edifice housing the top management of the petroleum and gas distributor. 

Speaking to his visitors, the Interim General Manager, noted that given the importance of the upcoming anniversary, they thought it necessary to open their doors to the media which is the voice of the people. 

Tradex, it was said, is a national heritage and should contribute to the development of the country. 

 

 

 

Created in 1999 by SNH, the company has evolved to become a major marketer within the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa, CEMAC. 

The company has moved from a capital of 31 billion FCFA in the year 2000 to 388 billion FCFA in 2023. 

According to official data, Tradex achieved a record net profit of 14.7 billion FCFA in 2023 over a period of five years. 

Between 2004 and 2006, the company has been supplying petrol to Central African Republic, Chad, and Equatorial Guinea. 

In Cameroon, Tradex has built 81 service stations, in all 10 Regions covering 26 Divisions and 36 cities and villages.

Management, expressed the zeal to return the trust Cameroonians have placed on them in expanding to all the ten regions and rendering services to suit their needs. 

The Head of the Communication and Public Relations at Tradex, Calvin M'Bond, said the silver jubilee activities will commence with medal award to 71 meritorious workers of which two are retired and one expatriate. 

The company has made available 25 motorbike and three cars to be won by consumers. Aside the raffle draws across distribution networks, employees shall take part at the SNH Golf Open in Yaounde. A gala night is in view with top A list artiste including Ben Decca.
