Cameroonian education agency, Kalata International Mobility Study and Travel Agency has partnered with Education First Ltd, the world’s leading organisation specialised in language training, educational travels and cultural exchanges.

The partnership is aimed at facilitating the linguistic and cultural integration of Cameroonians seeking studies and professional opportunities abroad.

It was signed Sunday, October 6. The Africa Manager of the Education First Ltd, Wael El Bordany, signed for the globally revered company while the Director of the Kalata agency, Bruno Nzume, signed on behalf of the Cameroonian institution.

The deal was sealed during a seminar organised by the Kalata agency at the campus of the Kalata Higher Institute in Yaounde. This was in the presence of officials of the two institutions and potential beneficiaries of the scheme.

Representatives of the Education First Ltd have been in Cameroon since Friday October 4 for a working visit which wraps up tomorrow October 9.

The newly-signed deal puts Kalata International Mobility Study and Travel Agency as the representative of the Education First Ltd in Cameroon.

The collaboration provides for Kalata agency, serving as a link to assist learners and other ambitious persons between the ages of six to 65 years.

They will be provided with the means to learn the languages and cultures of the foreign countries that they have dreams of studying and pursuing careers in.

Kalata agency, through the partnership, opens its doors to directly train the beneficiaries under the guidance of the Education First Ltd group.

It will provide users with the chance to learn the languages as prerequisite to study in the foreign countries and pursue other interests in their countries of choice.

Golden opportunity

Speaking to reporters, the Africa Manager of the Education First Ltd, Wael El Bordany, said the company chose to work with the Kalata agency due to the sustained credibility that the institution has earned in the sector over the years and still commands.

He described the partnership as a golden opportunity for Cameroonians seeking to legitimately improve their lives in the educational and other professional domains.

Wael El Bordany said the deal will beside the direct linguistic and cultural engagements, give way for the Kalata group to assist in preparing the documents of potential users and help with the visa activities of those seeking to benefit from the opportunity.

“Beneficiaries cannot apply directly. They need someone to prepare their documents, follow their visa activities and take care of every other preliminary activity. That is why we have Kalata as our representative here in Cameroon,” the Africa Manager stated.

On his part, the Director of the Kalata agency said the partnership further restates the position of Kalata group, which is people-oriented principle, working to ensure that Cameroonians of all walks of life have the opportunities to pursue their dreams and passions wherever they want without hinderance.

“With this program, beneficiaries do not need to lose an entire year studying languages at the international level as prerequisite before getting into their fields of studies or careers effectively,” the director said.

The director in his interview also spoke about the security of learners who will register to study the language courses at the Kalata institute.

He said the group is working in partnership with state security bodies and private security agencies to ensure that learners’ security is fully guaranteed.

Officials of the two institutions have been undertaking visits to some institutions in Yaounde in a bid to establish working relationships in line with the integration scheme.

Kalata following state guidelines

The Director of the Cameroonian agency stated that they are working as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education.

He said the project falls in line with the ministry’s call for Cameroonian higher education institutions to be creative, enterprising and transformative.

“We are no longer at the level of limiting ourselves to the national level. We are going for something new. What is attracting international partners to us is the quality of the product that we are producing,” Bruno Nzume.

The director insisted that such strides are the reasons behind the continuous improvement on the credibility of the Kalata agency and the entire Kalata group.

He described the multiple partnerships signed by the institution with international bodies as the fruit of such strides.
