CRTV’s Dr Asen Godfred dies.

Erstwhile TV news presenter of the State broadcast, CRTV, Dr Asen Godfred Tandong, has given up the ghost.
The Guardian Post gathered that the prominent news presenter passed on in the wee hours of Wednesday October 2, 2024.

Dr Asen is said to have died after battling with an illness. He reportedly died at his residence in Yaounde.

Besides being a news presenter, he also served the state broadcaster in several capacities. Dr Asen Godfred was the Deputy Director Delegate of CRTV's audiovisual training centre, CRTV Audiovisual Heritage Conservation Institute, known by its French abbreviation, IFCPA.

He previously also worked with CRTV South Region for many years. In October 2019, Tandong Asen Godfred successfully defended his Doctorate thesis in International Relations at the campus of the International Relations Institute, IRIC.

His thesis had centered on public diplomacy in conflict times with case study of the Arab Spring. His demise has been received with shock by colleagues.
