At installation of BAMEDCA Bertoua branch exco: National President urges Bamendankwe people to live in peace, promote culture.

The National President of Bamendankwe Development and Cultural Association, BAMEDCA, Tantoh Emmanuel, has urged the people of Bamendankwe resident in the East Region to live in peace and promote their culture.



He was speaking in Bertoua over the weekend while installing the newly elected and maiden executive committee of the Bertoua branch of BAMEDCA. 

Tantoh urged Bamendankwe people in the region to make sure they live in peace with their neighbours and share their culture with them as well. 

He congratulated the new exco for working tirelessly to make sure that the installation of the team takes place.

The BAMEDCA National President encouraged them to acquire a piece of land where they can build a hall for their meetings in future. 

Tantoh also told the Bamendankwe people resident in East Region to be respectful and also get land to build their own houses, but remember to go back home for development as well. 

He also announced that the foundation stone of the multipurpose centre in Bamendankwe will be laid before the end of this month. 

Tantoh thanked all the BAMEDCA members in East Region for working hard towards the success of their installation and presented a donation of 300,000 FCFA for the branch to add up and acquire land.

Speaking earlier in a welcome address, the newly elected president of BAMEDCA Bertoua branch, Amaboh Pascal Fondoh, said they were very elated to receive the BAMEDCA national exco for the first time in the East Region. 

He thanked the national exco, through the leadership of Tantoh Emmanuel, for following up to make sure that they mobilise all Bamendankwe children living in the far-off East Region to come together for the development of their village.

Amaboh told the national exco that they are very confident that after the installation of the exco, more Bamendankwe sons and daughters who work and live in various parts of the East Region will join them so that they will contribute to the various projects back in the village.

Meanwhile, enumerating some projects carried out by BAMEDCA national, the Secretary General, Ndifor Richard, said the national exco is working very hard to make sure that the village is top in development ventures.

Ndifor recounted some major projects carried out by BAMEDCA national such as the renovation of the Fon’s palace, the transfer and building of new Presbyterian primary school and the acquisition of land to build a multipurpose centre for the village, amongst others.

On her part, the National Communications Officer cum International President of Bamendankwe elite women group known as Ngwarre, Anne Munjong, appreciated the efforts of women wherever they find themselves in supporting the development of the village. 

She encouraged the women to join Ngwarre and Bamendankwe Women National Association, BAWONA, which are women groups that are out to support mostly the girl child and other underprivileged persons at home.

The National Protocol Officer, Tangie Asangbe, advised the Bamendankwe people resident in East Region to manage their finances with transparency to avoid any problems resulting from mismanagement. 

The new exco of BAMEDCA Bertoua installed include Amaboh Pascal Fondoh as President; Esther Ngrisi as Vice president, while Chungong Rita is Secretary General. Other positions were that of Financial Secretary, Treasurer and advisers. 

The installation ceremony, which brought together all the sons and daughters of Bamendankwe in Mezam Division of the North West Region resident in Bertoua and its environs, ended with cultural animation and merry-making. 

The next installation will be that of BAMEDCA Dibombari Branch in Moungo Division of the Littoral Region.
