Humanitarian organisation, Mercy Help Foundation, has offered essential food items and scholarships to students of the Saint Joseph College Sasse, in Buea of the South West Region.

The donation exercise was held September 15 on the campus of Sasse College.

The move, it was said, affirms the foundation’s dedication to enhancing educational opportunities through its Education for All Project.

The event, attended by distinguished guests, educators, and students, highlighted the foundation’s commitment to supporting student success and promoting quality education.

The campaign included two major initiatives. It included the distribution of essential food donations and the presentation of scholarship awards.

The food donation aims to address the immediate needs of the students by ensuring that they are well-nourished and able to concentrate on their studies.

Meanwhile, the scholarships were awarded to exceptional students, providing financial support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.

In her keynote address, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the Mercy Help Foundation, Nkem Brenda Bih, underscored the significance of the event.

“Today’s campaign represents our commitment to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed,” Bih said.

“Our Education for All Project is based on the belief that quality education should be accessible to every young person. By offering nourishment and financial support, we are addressing immediate challenges and investing in the long-term success of these students,” she added.

Bih’s remarks highlighted the dual focus of the campaign—supporting students' immediate needs while fostering their long-term academic achievements.

She encouraged students to seize the opportunities provided and praised the educators for their crucial role in shaping students' futures.

Expressing profound gratitude, the Principal of Saint Joseph College Sasse, Rev Fr Jude Njanto, acknowledged the Foundation's generous support.

“We are incredibly fortunate and blessed to be selected as beneficiaries of the Mercy Help Foundation’s Education for All Project,” Fr Njanto said.

“This support is not only a significant help to our students but also a tremendous honor for our school. It reinforces our commitment to providing quality education and nurturing the potential of every student,” the preacher said.

The benefactors said the back-to-school campaign was a vibrant demonstration of community spirit and collaboration.

The event, they said, exemplified the Mercy Help Foundation’s commitment to educational equity and set a positive example for future initiatives.

By addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals, the Foundation continues to champion its mission of making quality education accessible to all students.
