Enter FEICOM DG

The Director General of FEICOM, Philippe Camille Akoa, said the project falls within his institution’s desire to make communities places where citizens can live in dignity.

He said the vision explains the swift approval FEICOM gave to the project when it was submitted by late Mayor Bagdama Amati Rene Degaulle. Amati had served as mayor from 1985 to 2023.

The FEICOM boss also disclosed that from 2006 to 2024, the Mbandjock Council received 10 funding packages from FEICOM to the tune of 625,141,987 FCFA. He said this was in addition to subventions of 1,513,604,081 FCFA the council received between 2008 and 2024.

The council building is a two-storey structure. The ground floor has a reception hall, arts exhibition centre, the mayor´s cabinet, waiting room, two toilet blocs, nine other office blocs and other accessories.

The other floor has a conference hall, 18 offices, two toilets among other accessories. To note that Mbanjock Subdivision was created on December 6, 1969. Since its creation, the council had been operating in makeshift structures.
