Fruits of reliability, quality services: Musango Bus Service hired again to transport Lions.

In what is clearly understood as reaping the fruits of its unquestionable reliability and quality services, renowned inter-urban transport company, Musango Bus Service, MBS, has for the second time running, been hired as the official carrier of the country’s senior men’s national squad, the Indomitable Lions.

The exciting romance between the Indomitable Lions and the Buea-Headquartered transport company, first surfaced in June this year.

This was during the Indomitable Lions opening World Cup qualifying games against Capo Verde and Angola.

It was the first time the Indomitable Lions were chartering a private company during camping at home. The golden and life time opportunity landed on Musango Bus Service.

Sources say the Musango Bus Service, of all travel agencies in Cameroon, was easily sought for, more because of its cleanest, and the neatness and politeness of its drivers and hostesses. The comfort of MBS, we gathered, also greatly influenced the decision to retain the award-winning travel agency.

This was in the wake of a continuing fracas between the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT and the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, MINSEP, with the former withholding the official branded bus of the Lions.

As American author and statesman, Zig Zigler, once said: “Success occurs when opportunity meets preparation”, government immediately brought in Musango Bus Service as an emergency carrier.

The transport company with over 18 years of experience in the sector, clearly didn’t disappoint its hirers.

With a youthful leadership, headed by Dinga Derick Gasah as Managing Director, the company is at its best.

After a successful deal in June during the World Cup qualifiers, government this week again retained Musango Bus Service as Lions carrier as players began camping in Yaounde ahead of the Cameroon/Namibia AFCON clash.

Musango Bus Service has been the shuttle bus for the Lions between their lodging facility and the Yaounde Amadou Ahidjo Annex 1 Stadium, where they were training.

A Musango VIP bus also ferried the Lions to the Prime Minister’s Office Wednesday, for a brief audience. Yesterday, the bus also transported the players to the Nsimalen international airport, from where they departed for Garoua.

Where Musango beats others

Road transportation in Cameroon is currently fraught with many significant problems that make inter-city travel unbearable for the average passenger.

Unlike air travel where services are technology-enabled, most road transport companies in Cameroon operate via largely manual processes.

As such, there’s the lack of orderly process to acquire bus tickets. Commuters often have to wait long hours at bus stations for the buses to get full. This is in addition to inconsistent ticket pricing system.

But as an indigenous company founded by the late Andrew Motanga Mojimba, a native of Limbe, officials of Musango are familiar with these problems.

Currently considered the leader in the sector, Musango Bus Service has since opted for the digitalisation of its operations.

Years back, the company launched an online ticketing solution, allowing travellers to search for trips and compare fare prices from different transport companies, as well as make cashless payments, days before their trip.

Through the application available on the website of the company, passengers book and buy tickets online from the comforts of their bedrooms or offices.

History of reliability

When Musango Bus Service entered the market nearly 20 years ago, bookmakers wrote them off, given the overcrowded nature of the road transport sector.

But in just two decades in the market, the company has positioned itself as a leader, creating and beating own records.

Without any iota of exaggeration, Musango Bus Service is one of the largest providers of inter-city and inter-region transportation in Cameroon, serving more than seven destinations across the country.

The high-flying company has been serving its teeming customers with topnotch services, through its modern and environmentally-friendly vehicles.

The company prides itself with providing time-conscious departures, as well as safe, enjoyable and affordable travel services to millions of passengers annually.

The Musango Bus Service, which is well known for its regularly scheduled passenger service, also provides a number of other services for its customers, including package delivery to numerous destinations in Cameroon.

Vision transformed into reality

The Musango Bus Service, it should be said, was built on the foundation of innovation that continues today through combining logistics services with digital solutions to create an integrated and seamless experience for its customers.

Musango Bus Service delivers one of the industry’s most comprehensive range of proven transportation solutions to meet individual needs.

The company has a dedicated team that show good capabilities and work hand in hand to satisfy the needs of all their clients.
