The Group President and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of CAM1 Radio Television in Limbe, Fako Division of the South West Region, Mbole Nzo Nguty Collins, has been crowned Most Resilient Media Manager.



The visionary leader of CAM1 bagged the award at the 2024 edition of Victoria International Media Merit Award, VIMMA. This was Friday August 16 in Douala, during the award night.

The accolade, media pundits say, underscores Mbole’s unwavering dedication and significant contributions to the media sector in the South West Region.

With an impressive background spanning over 11 years as the South West Regional Manager at LTM TV Douala, Mbole Collins has made a lasting impact on the industry. 

His vision came to fruition in 2014 when he established Limbe's very first television station, CAM1 TV, marking a pivotal moment in the South West Region's broadcasting history. 

This groundbreaking achievement not only provided a platform for local voices but also fostered a sense of community engagement through diverse programming.

In addition to his television success, Mbole played a crucial role in launching one of the four radio stations in Limbe, further enhancing the media landscape and providing residents with a range of informative and entertaining content. 

His commitment to quality broadcasting has earned CAM1 Radio Television a reputation for excellence and reliability.

Mbole is driven by a powerful belief that “we are more than what we think we are”. This philosophy inspires him to push boundaries and motivate his team to achieve their fullest potential.

Talking to The Guardian Post after receiving the award, Mbole Collins said the recognition is an encouragement for him to work even harder.

“Despite the challenges CAM1 is facing within the media space, this award has comes as an inspiration for me and my team to continue trudging ahead, serving the community with untainted journalism, outstanding radio and TV content,” Mbole said.
