Members of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM party in Tiko (Fako IV Section), in Fako Division of the South West Region, have been tasked to remain united ahead of elections in 2025 and beyond.

Senator Nfor Tabetando echoed the call in Tiko on Friday July 26.

This was during a training and working session of the South West Permanent Regional Delegation of the Central Committee of the CPDM.

Addressing supporters during the training and working session, the head of the team, Senate Vice President, Nfor Tabetando, said it was an opportunity to remind supporters of the section on the ethics, rules and regulations of the party. He also said the meetings inculcated in the supporters the message of peace and love.

The working session and training, he said, are part of initiatives by the party hierarchy to ensure the party remains relevant and preserve its position in the political landscape.

“The CPDM is a party that wants to preserve its power. We came to brief our supporters that there are challenges for the 2025 presidential election and we are bound to fight to consolidate power,” the ace politician said.

Supporters of the party, he added, must bury their differences and work as one to ensure that the CPDM is ready for all elections.

In this light, he challenged all to consolidate unity amongst grassroots members and leaders of the section to ensure more supporters enrol on the electoral register.

The supporters were educated on themes such as; the functioning of the CPDM Section, discipline in the CPDM, resources and financial management and the revision of the electoral registers.

The leadership of Fako IV presented reports on voter registration from the cells, Sub Section and Section levels.

Senator Nfor Tabetando also said the goal of the Permanent Regional Delegation of the party was to make sure supporters are alert to assure the party hierarchy of victory and development projects.

In this light, he challenged supporters to start preparing the minds of the electorate ahead of upcoming elections.

Nfor Tabetando stressed on the need to get as many supporters as possible enrol on the electoral register.

After frank discussions with party supporters of Fako IV, Senator Nfor Tabetando expressed hope that they would always remember that they belong to the same party, despite their differences.

“Supporters have assured me that Tiko will remain a bastion of the CPDM party,” he said.

For his part, the Section President of CPDM Fako IV, Efite Andrew, promised to ensure that all party supporters are united and enrol on the electoral register.

Efite also said the party is ready for elections, before asserting that: “Unity and peace will be consolidated in Fako IV ahead of upcoming elections. We are confident to maintain the flag of the CPDM flying high”.
