Yaounde: Man wins over 48 million FCFA after staking 1,500FCFA with PMUC.

This was during an event specially organised for the handing over ritual.

According to officials of PMUC, the lucky winner hit the jackpot after placing the correct figures on July 13. It was during the PMUC Quinté+ betting series of the Masse Commune Internationale, MCI, also known in English as lnternational Pool.

The winner, name withheld, placed the combination of 12-15-5-14-11, which later turned out to be the correct figures in the series. 

The right call resultantly enabled the lucky customer to bag home the sum of 48,396,600 FCFA, as the prize money for emerging as the winner in the money-bag series.

 He staked the bet at the PMUC kiosk, located at the Efoulan Pont neighborhood in Yaounde, under the guidance of PMUC’s agent in the area, Solange Eyenga. 

The winner, who is barely in his 50s, appeared incredibly moved while receiving the cheque, despite later refusing to talk to the press for what is considered to be due to personal reasons.

According to those with a rich knowledge of the sports betting space, the financial package secured by the winner is a strong statement that not only further cements PMUC’s position as a leader in the betting sector, but also further seals its place as a crucial player in the noble mission of continuously transforming lives in Cameroon.

July extra-lucky month for PMUC customers

Besides restating the status of the PMUC as a globally trusted and customer-oriented company, the recent win by the Yaounde-based man is regarded as a fresh reminder of how rich the month of July 2024 has been and still promises to be for PMUC customers in Cameroon, who are staking through the MCI Quinté+ series.

The 48 million FCFA secured by the winner early this week is just one of such wins that have been recorded by the company’s customers in Cameroon via the MCI.

On July 7, some winners bagged home over 42 million FCFA via the same MCI series. 

Barely four days later, on Thursday July 11, the sum of 26 million FCFA was also won by the customers of PMUC in what authorities at the betting company say is an undeniable truth of how generous the month of July remains for its customers.

The July packages followed what had already been a hugely fruitful period for the company’s customers since late December 2023. 

In February, one of the company’s customers based in Douala in the Littoral Region bagged home 106 million FCFA after staking 500 FCFA. The win followed that of a customer in Maroua in the Far North Region who got a mouthwatering 159 million FCFA. 

More juicy packages in stock for customers 

According to insiders at PMUC, a lot more packages are still in the cupboards pending unraveling by the betting company in the days and months ahead.

Notable among them, the sources say, is the ‘saga des millions’, which is expected to be put at the disposal of customers next month with a heavy financial package of one billion 300 million FCFA.
