At BOBA thanksgiving: CPC Bali ex-students enjoin parents to send children to alma mater.

CPC Bali, it should be said, located in Bali Subdivision, Mezam Division of the North West Region. It is one of the schools owned by the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC.

The call was made Sunday July 7 at Presbyterian Church Nsimeyong, during a thanksgiving ceremony organized by the Yaounde chapter BOBA. 

The service was to thank God following the twin celebration of the 75th anniversary of CPC Bali and 50th anniversary of BOBA.

With the aim of creating awareness, the thanksgiving tour is to inform the Christians of the Presbyterian and Baptist churches in Yaounde that CPC is still functional and parents should feel free to send their children there. It was also to thank God for the existence of the school and the alumni association this far. 

During the service, BOBA Yaounde chapter president, Harry Acha, said the mission of the team is to give thanks to God for the prestigious association and also to create awareness of their Alma mater and its impact in the society.

Harry Acha told the Christians that PC Nsimeyong and CPC Bali can form an alliance and encourage Christians to send their children to CPC Bali and enjoy the many benefits the school offers as it has produced good seeds in the society today.

Encouraging the Christians, the chapter president disclosed that the newly elected president of the UN General Assembly, Philemon Yang, is a former student of CPC Bali. He added that Yang is just one of several dignitaries the school has produced.

Comparing the alumni association to other movements in church, Harry Acha said the association, is just like the Christian Women Fellowship, CWF, Christian Men Fellowship, CMF, among others, which imbibe Christian values on members. 

Praising CPC Bali, the chapter president, said: “CPC is the only school you send your daughter to and she comes out as an old boy”. 

Through the thanksgiving and sensitisation tour, which started on March 23, 2024, at the CPC Bali school campus, the BOBA Yaounde chapter  has been to Presbyterian Church Nyom, Baptist Church Etoug-Ebe, Presbyterian Church Bastos, among others.

Meanwhile, the parish pastor of Presbyterian Church Nsimeyong, Rev Enow Michael Agbor, appreciated the CPC Bali ex-students for thinking about the church and coming to fellowship with other Christians of the congregation.

CPC Bali, created in 1949 was celebrate 75 years of existence this year and its achievements and contributions to the society.
