Some stakers taking part in raffle draw

Cameroonian subsidiary of international horse racing betting company, Pari Mutuel Urbain Camerounaise, better known by its French abbreviation PMUC, has through its most recently launched campaign dubbed "Reactivator Promo", handed gifts to several stakers from different regions of the country.

The stakers won the gifts from the PMUC's football betting platform.

The handing over ceremony of the various prizes to the winners, took place Friday, June 28.

This was during an event staged at the company's headquarters in Akwa-Douala.

The event took place under the watchful eyes of the Board Chair of PMUC, Tatyana Eldin Mabouka. This was in the presence of the Marketing Director of the company, Olivier Frank Samoura.

By launching the "Reactivator promo campaign", PMUC officials said, they do not want to limit winning only to millions of cash prizes but also in durable goodies.

The first set of winners, seven of them, went home with brand-new motorbikes, Smart TV of 65 inches and mobile phones.

The Board Chair of PMUC, Tatyana Eldin Mabouka, in her remarks, congratulated the team for the efforts they have been putting in to ensure that the goals of the reputable company are met.

She called on them to stay glued while reiterating that PMUC remains a company with one goal to "win big"

It should be noted that the horse race betting company, has been present on Cameroonian soil for 30 years now and has produced hundreds of new millionaires every season.

Commenting on the "Reactivator campaign", the PMUC Marketing Director, Olivier Frank Samoura, said it was a strategy to rebrand their image to the public.

"PMUC is celebrating 30 years in Cameroon and we thought on how to keep in touch with our customers. We also thought on how to change our image, because people think we are old company, and are on the blink of being extinct. So, we decided to change this narrative by launching this Reactivator promo," he said.

The promo, he added, was first launched with sport betting. Noting that, PMUC aside the traditional horse race betting also has other platforms ranging from online casinos and football betting.

With the Reactivator promo, a person needs to stake 1,000 FCFA with the sport betting online platform or, at the sales point in order to stand the chance of being part of the raffle draw.

The stakers stand the chance of winning bikes, televisions of 65 inches and iPhones. All the prizes have been estimated at 22 million FCFA.

Alongside the promo, PUMC's marketing experts, had launched the 'Njoka campaign' which ran across the city of Douala.

The move was to take the product to customers in gaiety spree mood without having to wait for them at the agencies.

Samoura added that their ambition is to be perceived as a good, reliable company in all aspects and at all levels.

"We always enhance customers experience; we keep our words when we say there are winners as such, we are good at what we do," he added.

As time goes by, the company's hierarchy has promised more of such opportunities to keep its customers experience afloat.

One of them, Yebga Tonye Michel, who won a 65 inches television, said he was very happy with the new reactivator initiative.

"I have won a television and I'm very happy. From the onset, I didn't not believe because as you know in Cameroon, there is always the fake and scam but this has proven to be true," he said.
