Obala Diocese: Fr Jean Joël Bilogue gives tips on how to improve on prayers.

A priest of the Obala Diocese in the Centre Region, Father Jean Joël Atangana Bilogue, has outlined a number of tips on how to improve the quality of prayers.
The spiritual leader was speaking recently during a visit at the Obala-Yaounde bus station.

This was during a meeting that brought together passengers, commercial motorbike riders, taxi drivers, and petty traders stationed around the bus station.

The mass was celebrated at the premises of the main building of the park. It drew large and attentive crowds. Many took out time to sing hymns as prayers were echoed throughout the space, creating a moment of intense communion.

Father Jean Joël Bilogue opened his homily with the Christians by giving them a few tips on how to improve the quality of their prayers, with reference to the liturgical texts of the day.

According to the spiritual leader, a good prayer should have: praise and action, which is gratitude to God; listening to God's word; and intercession.

He ended his sermon by reassuring them that God is more powerful and closer to them than they thing. He exalted them to be Christians who desire, thirst and trust to be in the presence of the Lord.

The spiritual leader at the end of exercise blessed vehicles and other working tools of those working at the park. He then took time to speak with those present, listened to the concerns of shopkeepers, the daily challenges of bus and taxi drivers.

After listening to them, the spiritual offered sound advice, inviting everyone to persevere in their efforts, maintain a positive attitude and contribute to the smooth running and harmony of the bus station.

He also encouraged users to support the chaplain's initiatives and take active part in the spiritual activities. The move, the spiritual leader said, will not only provide a moment of spirituality and reflection, but also strengthen the bond between the various players that keep the bus station going.

The population at the end of the mass thanked Father Jean Joël Atangana Bilogue for his dedication and commitment. They praised his hard work and ability to unite a diverse community around common values.
