At commissioning of church study book in D’la: PCC women, men leaders urged to be shepherds.

Church officials flanked by CMF, CWF leaders immortalise moment

Leaders of the Christian Men Fellowship, CMF, and the Christian Women Fellowship, CWF, of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, have been urged to be guides in their service to God.

The call was made by the Presbyterial Secretaries for East Mungo South and Mungo Presbyteries, Rev Ayuk Jones and Rev Mary Wose respectively.

The Presbyterial Secretaries represented the Moderator of the PCC, Right Rev. Samuel Fonki Forba, at the event.

They made the call during a ceremony to officially commission the 2025 CWF/CMF Study Book. It took place over the weekend at the Bapenda Health Complex in Douala, Littoral Region.

The 2025 CWF/CMF Study Book is published under the theme: “Do you love me”. The study book has as watchword; “Take care of my sheep”.

The aim of the book, according to church leaders, is to empower the newly elected leaders as they engage their leadership journey for the next five years.

Speaking during the service, Rev Ayuk Jones urged elected church leaders in attendance to “Shepherd the sheep of God placed under them”. According to him, the sheep under the care of the leaders are supposed to be shepherded with care, love, sacrifice, trust, and selfless services, because the sheep they are leading as shepherds belong to God and not to them.

He equally called on the church leaders to continue to work by example and lead the church in the likeness of God.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the National Secretaries for Women’s and Men's Work departments; Rev Geraldine Fobang and Rev. Paul Ngu Tah respectively. They were equally facilitators at the event.

The commissioning comes to complete the exercise of Regional Leadership workshops, which kicked off in the North West and South West regions.
