CNPS DG gets prestigious award for excellent management.

The award tagged: "Excellent Manager" was handed to Mekulu Mvondo at a crowd pulling ceremony in Douala.                  
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of ESCM, Dr Henri Tafou Tchouato, saluted the sustained innovative prowess that Mekulu Mvondo has demonstrated at the helm of CNPS.

Dr Tafou said the quality of Mekulu Mvondo’s professional career as a business developer is not only inspiring but also of global standing. Dr Tafou remarked that Mekulu Mvondo is star in the business world. 

CNPS DG on commitment to enhance quality service

Taking the floor at the event, the Director General of CNPS thanked the Pigier Institute for recognising his exploits. 

He told the audience that at CNPS, the goal is to continue upgrading services to the best standards. This, Mekulu Mvondo said, is to ensure quality services and uphold performance. 

"You know perfectly well that at the CNPS, we had to change the institution’s DNA to give it two main characteristics that I hope we shall never lose; quality of service and performance," the award-winning DG stated.

Mekulu Mvondo on how service drives performance 

He continued that at CNPS "We believe that without the quality of service, it is not possible to achieve performance, just as performance can only be achieved through the quality of service”.

Mekulu Mvondo disclosed that “every three months, we carry out surveys in the public to find out whether our policyholders are happy with us”.

Hunger for more 

Despite the heralded achievements, Mekulu Mvondo said, he is not yet satisfied. He expressed the desire to continue achieving more. 

“I have to admit that I have never been satisfied with the results, because there's always a small percentage of dissatisfied people and my staff think that I'm harassing them,” he said.

He underscored that: “I'm looking for that little bit to compensate, which sometimes represents 3 to 4 or even 5%".

To continue achieving big, he said, there is need to remove the stumbling blocks of bureaucracy “which, I believe, is preventing performance, but I do not doubt that we shall get there”.

About ceremony

The ceremony was part of activities to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Pigier Institute in Cameroon. It took place under the theme: "Personal development and empowerment for the professional and social integration of young people”.

There was also the award of honorary diplomas to second-generation Cameroonian entrepreneurs. A host of dignitaries attended the event. Among them were; the Rector of the University of Douala, Professor Luc Magloire Ondoua who sat in for the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo.

The Chief Executive Officer, Director General of the Port Authority of Douala, PAD; the Chief  Executive Officers, CEOs of Routd'Af, WELA, and BOCOM Petroleum, also lived the event.
