Continentally acclaimed mediapreneur, Bony Dashaco, has unveiled ten key points for job creation and the fight against unemployment in Cameroon. 

Bony Dashaco, who is the President of Dash Holdings Africa, released the job creation blueprint recently, on his verified Facebook page. Read full ten points below. 

 



Promote Entrepreneurship: Encourage and support entrepreneurship by providing training, mentorship, and access to funding for aspiring entrepreneurs to start their own businesses.

 

Invest in Education & Skills Development: Improve the quality of education and vocational training programs to better align with the needs of the job market and equip individuals with the skills required by employers.

 

Support Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs): Provide incentives and support programs for SMEs, which are often significant contributors to job creation, by facilitating access to finance, markets, and business development services.

 

Infrastructure Development: Invest in infrastructure development projects that can create jobs directly in construction and related industries, as well as indirectly through improved transportation and connectivity.

 

Promote Agriculture & Agribusiness: Support the agricultural sector through initiatives that enhance productivity, value addition, and market access for farmers and agribusinesses, leading to job creation in rural areas.

 

Encourage Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Create a conducive business environment to attract foreign investors, who can bring in capital, technology, and expertise to set up operations and create jobs in various sectors of the economy.

Promote Export-Oriented Industries: Support industries that have export potential by providing incentives, reducing trade barriers, and facilitating access to international markets, which can lead to increased production and job creation.

 

Job Placement Services: Establish job placement services and career counseling centers to help match job seekers with available job opportunities and provide support in skills development and job readiness.

 

Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs): Foster collaboration between the government and private sector to jointly develop and implement initiatives aimed at creating employment opportunities, such as infrastructure projects, skills development programs and industry-specific initiatives.

 

Monitor & Evaluate Policies: Regularly monitor and evaluate the impact of job creation policies and programs to assess their effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to address unemployment challenges in Cameroon.
