Kumba: PCC Moderator, Christians celebrate life of late Rev Dr Nyansko-Ni-Nku.

This was during a memorial and thanksgiving service at Presbyterian Church Kumba Town officiated by the Moderator of the PCC, Rt Rev Dr Fonki Samuel Forba.

The service which took place on Saturday April 6, was attended the family of the late former Moderator, friends and members of the Christian community in Kumba and beyond.

In a message captioned: “Time to heal all wounds”, drawn from the book of Psalms 34-18, Rt Rev Dr Fonki, exhorted the family of the late Man of God and worshippers who showed up for the service that it’s time to reconcile with the past and start afresh. 

He described the late Moderator as his mentor, teacher and father and urged the family friends and the Christian community to build on the legacy he left behind. 

To Rt Rev Dr Fonki, the Very Rev Nyansako Ni Nku who is today resting with the Lord, was fully committed, sacrificed a lot for the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon and was inspiration to many.

“…Pa Nku as I used to call him will be remembered for what he share, and we are here today because of the relationship we had with him, we had with the family,” Rev Fonki said.

He urged the family of the late Man of God to continue to put their trust in God only and his son Jesus Christ because he will never failed them.

Maturity, hospitality of PC Kumba Town Christians saluted

Presbyterian Church Kumba Town had in the recent past been mired in leadership tussle but things have since normalise.

Addressing the faithful after the Memorial Service, the Rt Rev Dr Forba hailed their maturity, love and hospitality.

While stating that the history of the PCC cannot be complete without Kumba Presbytery, he went on to thank the Christians for letting the past behind them and are now forging ahead, adding that PC Kumba Town will forever remain the pivot of Presbytery.

The Chief Shepherd of the PCC recalled his old days, growing up as a boy in the streets of Hausa Quarters Fiango and attending GTHS Kumba and Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Kosala-Kumba where pastors of the PCC are trained

Senator Mbella Moki hails Nyansako’s exemplary leadership

Senator Mbella Moki Charles, member of the Upper House of Parliament who attended the memorial service said the late Moderator was not only his friend, he was like a father to him.

The lawmaker recalled the touching messages from the Man of God which he said impacted his spiritual life.

He also described the late Nyansako as a “compassionate human being” whose and his “love knew no boundaries,” added to the added to his constant advice, support and love.

Late Moderator’s children remember him  

His youngest son, Mbole Kangsen Nku and his brother Nyansako-Ni-Nku Junior said the celebration of the life of their father was a bitter sweet occasion.

They said they're mourning his lost and but at the same time celebrating his life which to them was the greatest man of all time. Kangsen Nku told this reporter that he he and his older siblings are continuing their father’s legacy because he lived an exemplary life.

He promise to give back to the community because that's what his father would have wanted if he was still alive.

About the late Dr Nyansako-Ni-Nku 

Born in Kotto-Barombi, Meme Division of the South West Region, he was the fourth Moderator of the PCC from 1999 to 2009.

The journalists cum orator, who rose from every strata of the Church, was unarguably one of the best preacher the PCC has ever produced.

He died on April 21, 2021. As a sign of continuing to remember him, the family presented a cross to the pulpit of PC Kumba Town during the thanksgiving service prayed on his grave of the late Moderator to continue resting in peace.
