The Special Council Support Fund for Mutual Assistance, FEICOM, and the commercial bank, Société Générale Cameroun, have discussed ways to better finance community projects.

This was the essence of an audience the Director General of FEICOM, Philippe Camille Akoa, granted the Managing Director, MD, of Société Générale Cameroun, Sterghios Dassarecos.

The meeting took place Friday March 22 at the head office of FEICOM in Yaounde. Sterghios Dassarecos was accompanied during the audience by some of his close colleagues.

The institution indicated that the discussions between FEICOM and Société Générale Cameroun focused in particular on ways in which community projects can be financed to benefit the highest number of citizens.

FEICOM indicated that, in its drive to remain a leader in community development, it remains open to get more partners to make communities better places to live in.

The management of FEICOM has since the close of 2019 when the Head of State unveiled a new decentralisation vision embarked on a new local development visions.

Beyond its age long emphasis on social structure that places interest on individuals and communities, FEICOM has intensified its projects and development offers to councils nationwide.

Since the putting in pace of   Regional Councils and regional assemblies in the North West and South West Regions, FEICOM has quickly made adjustments to put the new entities in its development vision.

The Camille Akoa-led institution has already engaged pioneer Regional Councils and Regional Assembly executives on various development initiatives. Top among them was the designing of prototypes of offices peculiar to each region.

With such expanding interest and partnerships, FEICOM is expected to continued providing financing for local community development projects nationwide.
