PCRN party loses mayor.

The news of the demise of the supporter of the Cameroon Party for National Reconciliation, PCRN, was confirmed by her friends and close relatives.

The PCRN party, in a release signed by its National Secretary, Armand Okol, also confirmed the death. The party said it was saddened to learn of the demise of Ngo.

The opposition party extended words of sympathy to the family of the deceased, friends, acquaintances and the Eseka Council.

The Okol-signed release indicated that the deceased was “a brave and distinguished supporter of the PCRN. He indicated that her demise has created a great void in the opposition party.

Ngo was one of the pioneers of the ‘11 Million Citizens’ movement and was remarkably involved in the campaign of Cabral Libii as candidate of the Universe Party at the 2018 presidential election.

The late municipal authority, the release of the PCRN further indicated, made significant contribution to the PCRN, during the 2020 legislative and municipal elections. 

Her activities during the election, the party said, resulted in councillors of the Ezeka Council voting her as Deputy Mayor.

Her remains, according to reports, have been ferried to a mortuary, pending burial arrangements. Her funeral program is expected to be made public in the coming weeks. 

The PCRN, Ezeka Council authorities and the family of the deceased deputy mayor are expected to agree on the program before it is made public.
