In the meantime, Afriland First Bank has remained a major force of attraction at this year’s PROMOTE.

Given its vast deployment and multiple services offered in support of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, SMEs, and taking financial services closer to Cameroonians, it has continued to make the difference at the fair ground in Yaounde.

Afriland First Bank, being the main sponsor of PROMOTE this year, has lived up to expectation, responding to the worry of start-ups and other business persons.

Speaking to reporters at a briefing yesterday, Afriland First Bank’s Director of Retail Banking and Network, Herve Ayissi, shed light on the financial institution’s contribution to the restructuring of major and petit businesses.

Backbone of SMEs

To further match words with actions, this year’s PROMOTE took a different twist with Afriland First Bank.

It provided stands for various SMEs to show-case their know-how and exchange with customers.

In addition to these, Ayissi said in the last couple of days as PROMOTE has been rolling on, Afriland First Bank has been putting experts at the service of heads of enterprises, to provide them with the much-needed counsel.

“If we want to have a flourishing economy, we must have champions who are sustaining that economy,” Ayissi remarked, insisting that Afriland First Bank believes economic transformation requires that SMEs get the needed support.

Citing the issue of financing as a major preoccupation, he said the bank has continued to provide such alongside capacity building to guarantee success.
