Lover's Day, which is mostly called Valentine’s Day, was celebrated in style between Orange Cameroun and its customers in the town of Bamenda in the North West Region of the country.

On February 14, members of the telecommunications service provider stepped out on the streets of Bamenda and met with their customers.

The Orange Cameroun team shared gifts and encouraged their customers to keep trusting their services.

According to Orange Cameroun Sales Manager for the North West Region, Chofo Buzi, it was a way to show love to their customers, reach out to them and meet them one-on-one to get their reactions towards the company’s services.

"It's a very specific and targeted programme; it gives us the chance to reach out to our customers in a very special way during this love period. And also getting the customer touch and giving them the chance to share with us," Chofo said.

The Orange Cameroun team met with its customers in various junctions in Nkwen and Mankon, where raffles were drawn and customers won prizes.

The prizes comprised a basket containing groundnut oil, champagne, rice, food seasoning, spaghetti and other items.

This, to the Orange Cameroun staff, was to gain trust and continue to build their relationship with customers.

"Orange believes in customers; we start with them and we also end with them," Chofo added.

Customers hail Orange Cameroun, demand more

While on the field, several customers saluted the management of Orange Cameroun for showing them love on the special day. Some equally thanked telecoms company for always providing reliable services to the population.

According to Mbinda Charles, one of the winners of the basket, the items will help him spend Valentine’s Day in a special way with his family.

"I'm very happy for winning these items from Orange Cameroun. I am going back home as a happy man to spend this day with my family. I am encouraging everyone out there to use Orange; they are the best," Mbinda said.

Meanwhile, Kevin Chega, another winner, said he would not keep the good news to himself, but inform his friends to enjoy the good services offered by Orange Cameroun.

"I' am very happy to have received these things from Orange because I was not expecting. I will make sure I encourage all my friends to use Orange so that we can win together," Chega said.

More customers to be reached in the region

Taking into consideration some of the points shared by customers, Chofo Buzi assured that Orange Cameroun will expand the programme to the entire region, so that customers from other Divisions can also benefit.

"The customers have already been drilled on the various promotional offers. Some of them have been beneficiaries already. It was quite successful and the feedback is good. This time we had to touch just parts of Mezam. I think it will be good for us to expand it to other divisions and other localities of the North West, so that people can feel and live Orange," Chofo said.

He also called on customers to keep trusting Orange Cameroun, as they can also win up to 1,000,000 FCFA, televisions sets, cars and others.
