Yaounde: John Chi Foundation succours Muslim persons with disabilities, widows, widowers….

Handing cash gift to persons with disabilities, widows, widowers…

The John Chi Foundation has succoured persons living with disabilities, widows, widowers and other underprivileged and needy persons within the Muslim community in the Briqueterie neighbourhood in Yaounde.

This was Friday February 9, during an event which took place on the campus of Government Primary School Ekoudou at Briqueterie, Yaounde.

It should be noted that The John Chi Foundation is a brainchild of the Founder and General Overseer of the Ark of God's Covenant Ministry, AGCOM, Apostle John Chi.

The beneficiaries turned out en mass to receive Apostle John Chi and members of The John Chi Foundation, who had come with goodies. The John Chi Foundation donated some 1,000 bags of rice, wheelchairs and 3 million FCFA in cash.

Of the 3 million FCFA donated in cash, 1 million FCFA went to the community save “to take care of the health of people within the community, while 2 million FCFA was shared out to the people present”.

In a welcome address, Djibril Amadou, representative of the Chief of the Muslim community, HRH Oussoumanou Ahmadou, thanked John Chi and his foundation for coming to their aid.

“It pleases us to express out profound gratitude and our sincere thanks to our benefactors. We know that giving shows the dignity of man. We are leading the fight to provide many necessities to the needy, underprivileged and physically challenged. Our modest persons cannot tell you thank you enough,” he said.

Djibril Amadou then prayed that whatever was done during the occasion should “be according to the will of God”.

For his part, Apostle John Chi, thanked the Muslim community for accepting them in their midst, and for the warm reception accorded him and The John Chi Foundation members.

“It is a rare privilege to be here. This is the second time to be here. We thank God for giving us the grace to be here with you,” he said.

“Love in our hearts, work in our hands”

Apostle John Chi continued that: “The John Chi Foundation is all about love in our hearts and work in our hands. The John Chi Foundation is all about a nation to build, a world to change; you and I are included”.

“The John Chi Foundation is all about putting quality smiles on the faces of people. God values our little efforts to honour Him when it is done in truth, humility and faith,” he noted.

He went ahead to say that: “When we give in humility, in cheerfulness, we honour God almighty. Giving is a rare privilege when it is done in a proper attitude…with all humility, we are here to share love with our brothers and sisters. God is one and those who live in God live in God and God is in them”.

“The John Chi Foundation is aimed at reaching out to the less privileged, the physically challenged, widows, widowers and to put quality smiles on their faces. That is the reason we are here; to share the little God has given us. Nothing is too small to share when it comes from a sincere heart. It may be small, but we believe that it will go a long way to bless you physical and spiritually,” Apostle John Chi told the beneficiaries.

Apostle John Chi & love for giving

It should be noted that last Saturday’s outing was not the first time Apostle John Chi was donating to the needy. As a philanthropist, he has been carrying out a lot of charitable works.

He has donated foodstuff and other materials to the needy in several towns in Cameroon. When cholera hit Limbe in Fako Division of the South West Region, in April 2022, the Man of God offered huge material and financial assistance to victims of the epidemic.

Accompanied by his collaborators with truckloads of materials, Apostle John Chi visited the Bota District Hospital and health officials in the city.

The donation offered was estimated in millions of FCFA. He also gave cholera patients a financial package of 3,000,000 FCFA.

He had also made similar donations when the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak. The Man of God is known for similar actions in several countries.

Meanwhile, in April 2020, he reached out to thousands of needy people with a donation of 8.5 million FCFA and over 1,000 bags of rice.

The donation saw Christians, Muslims and people of other faiths in Limbe, Buea, Tiko and several areas in the South West Region benefiting.

The old, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children were among the thousands who received the donations.

The Man of God has also donated to inmates of the Buea Central Prison and other needy and vulnerable persons in the country.
