Voting begins as 1XBET Ehub enters decisive stage.

This follows the launch of a special live show broadcast on two renowned television channels; Vision 4 and Canal 2 International.

Candidates from two of four categories are expected to take part in the special broadcast live show each week. Viewers have the chance to identify their preferred choice and can vote. Rebroadcast sessions have also been announced.

Viewers can vote by sending the candidate's number by text or Whatsapp to +237 2442232172. Voting shall take place from December 26, 2023 to January 3, 2024.

The votes from the viewers constitute 30% of the total votes. The remaining 70% shall be decided by members of the high-profile and experienced jury. Amongst the jury is the Area Manager of 1XBET Africa, Steven Nbienou Kouadjo, the Marketing Director of 1XBET, Arnaud Jolivo, the Director General of Activespaces, Dahirou Djamo, and the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Mountain Hub, Ayuk Etta.

The pitch-deck, a presentation of the different projects, comes after the success recorded in the bootcamp and hackathon phases. The aim of the pitch-deck was to give the members of jury and investors a foretaste of the quality and importance of their projects.

The four-day exercise ran from December 18-21 in Yaounde with all 19 candidates showcasing their knowhow in order to impress the jury.

During the pitch deck, the members of jury listened attentively to the presentation of the candidate's projects and scored them according to several criteria like; problem relevance, functional solution/features, added value, technology, presentation and design.

Candidates poised to emerge victorious

At the end of the nine-day special broadcast, the best three candidates in each category; agriculture, education, technology and innovation as well as climate shall be rewarded.

According to organisers, a 50 million FCFA cash prize shall be shared among the various winners. Apart from the cash prize, the various winners shall also benefit from a six-month incubation period.

They shall also bag home some gadgets and prizes like Microsoft certification and other certifications that young entrepreneurs need in order to make their dreams come true.

Also, the three groups for the hackathon shall be rewarded. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 5, 2024. It is worth mentioning that the 1XBET Ehub was launched on Friday October 6.

This initiative, which aims at revolutionising entrepreneurship in Cameroon across various domains, is the brainchild of the Area Manager for 1XBET, Steven Nbienou Kouadjo.
