AFCON 2023: New UCB beverage, Razzl, exclusive soft drink sponsor.

The new beverage of Cameroon’s brewery giant, Union des Brasseries du Cameroun, UCB, Razzl, has been confirmed as exclusive official soft drink sponsor of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, to be played in Côte d'Ivoire, from January next year.

The brewery company announced the prestigious partnership with the Confederation of African Football, CAF, during a press conference Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

The partnership and remarkable collaboration of the dynamic and vibrant beverage brand, recognised for its unique taste and sensation, UCB officials stated, marks a significant milestone, aligning Razzl with one of the most anticipated soccer events on the continent. 

The carbonated soft drink brand which has been launched across Africa, including Nigeria, is already making remarkable footprints across the continent. 

Razzl is available in exciting variants of Cola, Orange, Grenadine and Lemon. It is readily available, both in offline and online trade channels.

The AFCON tournament, with over 500 million viewership across the globe, it should be noted, has become a very successful asset that ties in well with Razzl’s vision and aspirations to become a Pan-African brand.

Unveils freestyle football for youth, enticing prices for customers 

As part of the activation, Razzl, officials added, will be unveiling its freestyle football challenge for youthful freestylers.

The challenge, they stated, is for football fans to express their unique flair and ingenuity through captivating tricks, mesmerising moves and impressive performances inspired by the excitement of AFCON.

“The Razzl freestyle football challenge will appeal to its talented younger, energetic audience, showcasing its products alongside the excitement and creativity of freestyle football,” UCB officials said. 

Other activities to follow the launch will be a Consumer and Trade Promos that will involve winning of all-expense paid tickets to the AFCON, execution of Fan Zones as well as exciting advertising, experiential and digital campaigns and limited-edition packaging.
