CPDM Kupe-Muanenguba II Section: Youth Section President hails Biya’s exemplary leadership qualities.
The Youth Section President of the ruling CPDM party for Kupe-Muanenguba II Section, Esong Simon, has hailed the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, for his outstanding leadership qualities in managing the affairs of the state.
He spoke to The Guardian Post on the sidelines of the celebration marking the 41st anniversary of President Biya’s ascension to the Supreme Magistracy of the state.
Esong who is a Customs Officer, stated that President Paul Biya is the best thing that has ever happened to Cameroon.
He added that Cameroonians, especially those in Nguti Subdivision, have nothing to give him back rather than supporting him by coming out in political activities “and throwing their weight behind their national champion”.
The charismatic section president also cited top politicians in Cameroon who are political mentors.
These, he said, include Prime Minister Chief, Dr Joseph Dion Ngute; Pr Elvis Ngolle Ngolle; Minister Assistant Secretary General of the Presidency, Elung Paul; Director General of CSPH, Okie Johnson Ndoh, Director General of Customs, Fongod Edwin, among others.
Esong said he will continue to preach CPDM and its success stories to all the nooks and crannies of Kupe-Muanenguba in general and Nguti in particular as well as continue encouraging more youth to abandon their former ways and join the CPDM bandwagon.

Debunks claims he has dual nationality
Esong Simon also used the opportunity to debunk rumours that had been circulating that he has dual nationality. The rumours that he is a US citizen made rounds especially in his section Nguti.
“I want to make it abundantly clear that I am a bona fide citizen of Cameroon and hold no other nationality," he stated.
He went further to state that he is one of the few Cameroonians who have a permanent resident permit (American Green card) but still decided to work, study, live in Cameroon and engage in active politics.
He disclosed that this is the eight year since he had the American Green Card, but only travels sometimes once a year to get it validated and returns to the land of his birth, Cameroon.
“I want to therefore use this opportunity to clarify those who think I have an American Nationality and I urge them to edify themselves on the process of naturalisation and change of status to become an American citizen…," he said
Esong called on his adversaries to play clean politics than trying to blackmail people due to ignorance and misconceptions.
