Ngoketunjia Youth MP, Sama Sylveinus, bags fresh int’l academic certification.

Young Cameroonian Peace Ambassador and youth development champion, Sama Sylveinus, has secured an international certification in business, relationship coaching and professional public speaking. 

The Youth MP for the Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region, bagged the prestigious qualification from the African Inclusive Institutes of Professional Public Speakers, last weekend. 

This was at the end of a three-month training programme at the revered international coaching institution with offices in Yaounde and Texas in the United States of America. 

According to authorities of the African Inclusive Institute, the programme focuses on building the capacities of trainees on best practices and techniques in the domain of business and relationship coaching and professional public speaking. This, the school said, is in the quest to adequately build the trainees’ skills on how to positively transform their communities and countries. 

The certification from the African Inclusive Institutes adds to many national and international academic qualifications that have been acquired by Sama, in his bid to get academic backing sufficient enough to efficiently drive in his quest to positively change the Cameroonian society.

Sama, it should be said, has over the years, built a rich profile, beginning with the GCE Ordinary and Advanced levels certificates, obtained at Government High School, Balikumbat. 

The African Inclusive Institutes certification adds up to a Bachelor of Science degree, obtained by the vibrant youngster in Human Resource Management, earned from the Management and Business Academy Institute in Douala. 

He also graduated with a Human Kinetic and Health Education degree from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria. 

Sama equally holds a Diploma in Chaplaincy Ministry from EMET Global Theological Seminary and College, Georgia, United States of America, as well as a certificate on modern-day diplomacy from the Canada-based Conseil The Rayonnement International.

“Thank God Almighty for the opportunity to come in contact with the African Inclusive Institutes. I equally thank God for giving me the opportunity to go through the training process till the end. It took a lot of money and time. But no energy is ever wasted and no amount of money is sufficient enough to buy knowledge,” Sama said in a statement Saturday.

Fresh qualification boost in quest to drive change

The recent qualification, according to Sama, is expected to help better position and orientate him in his bid to serve as an agent of change in the Cameroonian society, beginning with his native Ngoketunjia Division and the North West Region.

Speaking to the press after the graduation ceremony last Saturday, Sama said the lack of appropriate communication on business opportunities and best practices in the domain is a major contributor to the multiple challenges faced by those in the sector. 

Sama said his recent certification gives him a new perspective on how to help those in the sector in walking their way. He said he will be doing this notably through the organisation of seminars and other capacity-building sessions. 

“I am going to use the internationally acquired knowledge to transform my community in the domain of entrepreneurship, educate people through business coaching, and build relationships. The problem we are having in our society today is because of the lack of adequate communication or the lack of adequate knowledge and societal relationships,” Sama said. 

On Wednesday, Sama announced that he has set up a scholarship scheme for the training of some 500 girls and women in the five villages of the Balikumbat Subdivision on the production of liquid soap, glycerin and other basic household necessities. 

The massive scholarship scheme, Sama said in a statement, is open to persons with ages ranging from 17 to 40 years with a first phase billed to kick off later this month.

Building an already impressive track record 

Sama is not a new name so far as the quest to drive change in the Cameroonian society notably through youth empowerment, the fight for social justice and the promotion of education is concern.

In recent times, Sama has come out as one of the most dynamic youths from Ngoketunjia Division in particular and the North West Region in general.

Late last year, he was elected the President of the Cameroon National Youth Council for the Balikumbat Subdivision. Months later, the development and youth emancipation champion further enriched his profile after getting elected as a Youth MP. 

The election gave him a better chance to push for more strides in an area that he had already been familiar with through Sama and God Foundation World Wide, where he is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer. 

Sama made a significant move early this year when he organised and sponsored the training of over 50 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, of the North West Region living in the Centre Region through a scholarship. 

The scholarship programme, which was in its second edition, followed similar development-oriented actions brought about or championed by Sama who brought together Ngoketunjia youth in a national scholarship and peace convention, in a bid to trace a productive path toward development in Ngoketunjia Division. 

Sama has since then continued building a more powerful profile good enough to get him amply ready for a national assignment, but also set for international duties like the recent one from the UN. 

Those efforts have been proven and recognised in several ways, notably the numerous awards he has accrued in the recent past, including the Best Pan- African Youth for Leadership and Governance award from the PANAFES Award, bagged last year. 

Early this year, Sama bagged The Guardian Post Achievement Award as the Most Impactful Youth in Leadership and Community Development.
