Apostle John Chi offers life scholarship to children of persons with disabilities.

The Founder and General Overseer of the Ark of God's Covenant Ministry, AGCOM, Apostle John Chi, in his usual humanitarian fashion and policy of giving back to the community, has succoured some persons living with disabilities by donating to them tricycles, foodstuff and cash.

The renowned man of God also offered scholarships to the children of the persons living with disability to enable them study to the highest academic level of their choice.

This was Sunday October 8, during church service at AGCOM in Buea, South West Region.

The less privileged, three in number, held in high esteem by the man of God, were blessed by Apostle John Chi with three tricycles, bags of rice and a sum of 300,000 FCFA each. He also awarded scholarships to their children to study to which ever academic level of their choice.

The persons living with disabilities were; Mami Marie, from Mile I Limbe, Mr. John from Mutengene and Madam Agnes from Lisoka village, all in Fako Division of the South West Region.

Mami Marie is from a family of five and all her able siblings died and she is the lone survivor of her family.

Before now, she would crawl using a stool as aide since she had no one to assist her. This was her story before she came in contact with the man of God, Apostle John Chi, who has been taking care of her since then.

Mr. John from Mutengene, is a shoe repairer, but due to lack of finance, he couldn’t establish his business.

But after his encounter with the man of God on Sunday he now has the sum of 300,000 FCFA to start up his shoe repairing shop, a tricycle to help him move around, and three bags of rice for feeding. His son also received a scholarship to study to any academic level of his choice.

Mrs Agnes, who came from Lisoka, is a mother of five with a baby of about eight months old as her last child. She also has two sets of twins.

She disclosed that with her disability, she has to go to work in people’s farms to be able to afford feeding for her children. Among her five children, she said only one has had the opportunity to go to school through the help of some neighbours.

After hearing her pathetic story, Apostle John Chi invited her to AGCOM, blessed her with a tricycle as well and a sum 300,000 FCFA, three bags of rice and scholarship to all her children.

Mrs Agnes also testified that this is not the first time she is benefiting from the free will donation from the man of God, Apostle John Chi, though this is her first time of meeting the man of God one on one.

She revealed that sometimes she sits in the village and receives cash gifts and foodstuff coming from the man of God through her friends who are also living with disabilities.

Talking about his action towards the persons with disability, Apostle John Chi, said: “We are blessed to bless others. No one can do it all alone; we all need inspired and informed people to make in our respective calling. What is in your hand is enough to put quality smiles on the face of someone who is in need”.

It should it recalled this is not the first time the seasoned man of God is succouring the less privileged, vulnerable and needy persons.

Used birthday to support vulnerable persons

Recently, Apostle John Chi used the celebration of his 47th birthday on September 26 to offer cash gifts to some vulnerable persons.

He offered cash worth 2 million FCFA and hundreds of bags of rice to the less privileged and some persons living with disabilities.

This was during a special church service at the AGCOM headquarters in Buea.

Leaders from different denominations and representatives of the administration attended the event.

Most of the personalities took turns to appreciate the preacher for what God is using him to do in positively impacting lives.

Assisted during cholera outbreak in Limbe

Meanwhile, when there was a cholera outbreak in Limbe in March 2022, Apostle John Chi donated medical equipment worth 7 million FCFA and also offered financial support worth 3 million FCFA, to curb the spread of epidemic in Fako Division of South West Region.

The man of God’s donation had included ringer solutions, drip sets and other medical equipment used for the management of cholera, as well as hundreds of palettes of mineral water used to constitute the oral rehydration solution for the patients.

He had also made similar donations when the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak.

Reaching out to the needy

In April 2020, the prominent Man of God had reached out to thousands of needy people with a donation of 8.5 million FCFA and over 1,000 bags of rice.

The donation saw Christians, Muslims and people of other faiths in Limbe, Buea, Tiko and several areas in the South West Region benefiting. The old, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children were among the thousands who received the donations.

Apostle John Chi, with inference from the scripture, had said: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, any gift that we could give to Him in return is a mere token of thanks for the eternal gift He has given us”.
