Orange Digital Center: A commitment to employability which has already facilitated over 560 recruitments.

Today, digital technology is essential for supporting economic development, providing access to essential services such as education and healthcare, promoting the development of professional skills and facilitating social relations.

This Orange Group understands and takes strong commitments to work towards digital equality.

It is against this backdrop that, a strategic alliance has been shaped with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) to roll out Orange Digital Centers in all countries where Orange operates in Africa and in the Middle East.

Thus, in 2020, Orange Digital Center Cameroon was created, a third-party center that brings together all programs, from training and coaching to start-up acceleration and investment.

Since its creation, this strategic entity has facilitated access to employment for over 560 young people.

Training and employment opportunities for the young generation.

Orange Digital Center offers several programs free of charge to strengthen young people's digital skills and boost their access to employment, such as digital training courses at all levels, speed recruiting, networking opportunities and more.

High-potential programs such as the "Orange Summer Challenge" have also enabled students in digital fields to turn their innovative ideas into reality and develop their entrepreneurial spirit.

All these initiatives are bearing fruit, as 560 youths have found a job as a result of the programs followed at the Orange Digital Center.

Moreover, the jobs obtained cover a wide range of fields, spanning from web development, data analysis, telecommunications, networks, banking, insurance, accounting, marketing and communications.

By adapting its programs to current professional needs, Orange Cameroon has been able to facilitate the integration of young people into the job market in sectors that are recruiting.

An initiative encouraged by beneficiaries.

According to the youths who took part in the various programs, it is an initiative to be pushed forward for it doesn’t only enable youths get white collar jobs but equally to work in digital fields and to benefit from high quality training with a positive impact on their career path.
