Rose Acheck Foundation donates modern toilets to Guzang Fon’s Palace.

US-based organisation, The Rose Acheck Foundation, has constructed and donated modern pit toilets to Guzang Fon’s Palace in Batibo Subdivision, Momo Division of the North West Region.

The modern toilets, comprising four squatting holes and two urinals, were received by the traditional authorities of Guzang, on Thursday, August 17.

During the official handing over ceremony, the founder of The Rose Acheck Foundation, Mafor Mbanyamsig Beatrice, expressed satisfaction with the initiative.

Mafor Mbanyamsig said she is happy that henceforth, the population of Guzang and her visitors will no longer need to move long distances into the inner core of the Fon’s Palace for toilet facilities.

She added that the readily access and newly constructed toilets will go a long way to serve the community.

"The toilets will serve the Guzang population and visitors during socio-cultural events at the Guzang Fon’s palace," she said.

During the inauguration, Bah Efit, the representative of the Fon of Guzang, showered praises on Mafor Mbanyamsig Beatrice, for the tireless efforts of her Foundation towards improving the living standards of the Guzang people. Bah Efit also poured traditional libations to sanctify the Foundation.

The Coordinator of The Rose Acheck Foundation, Bahtoh Sama Eugene Agwo, thanked Fon Gwan Mbanyamsig III of Guzang, for his patronage and promised that the Foundation will not only provide more, but engage in projects that will benefit not only Guzang village, but the entire Batibo Subdivision.

It should be noted that The Rose Acheck Foundation is not at its first philanthropic project. In 2021, the foundation constructed and provided two stand taps to the Guzang Market, which stands as one of the biggest in the North West Region.

The taps are said to be of great help to the population and also solves the problem of insufficient potable water to buyers and sellers during market days.
