The event brought together children from across Meme Division, from Nursery One to Form Five. They all benefited from books, school bags, pens, pencils, rulers, sharpeners, colours amongst other school materials.

The main objective of the exercise, which has become a routine, is to enable parents with little means meet up with preparation for back-to-school.

Study hard, be good and keep good friendship so that you people will be able to produce future Mayors, Parliamentarians, Senators, SDOs, teachers, doctors and why not future President of the Republic...I pray for you people that it shall come to pass in Jesus’ mighty name," the God-fearing Senator Nfon Mukete, told jubilant parents, pupils and students.

The Nfon said the success of the donation was thanks to the support of some Bafaw elite, friends of the palace and the queen among others.

Meanwhile, the President of the South West Regional Assembly, Bakoma Elango Zacheus, said he was very delighted to be part of the great event to shape the future of young people in Meme.
