13 months after abduction of Kumba-Ekondo Titi road workers: Master planner held incommunicado after confession!.

The trend of events with many of them surrendering and going to the DDR Centres nationwide, many believe, point to the fact that their activities may soon be over.

While the nation is still digesting the confession of Tamaya Clinton, who testified that he and self-styled General 10 Kobo abducted, killed and buried divisional delegates in a mass grave in the interiors of Ndian in 2021, another shocking confession has surfaced.

This time around, it is Mbah Carlson, who masterminded the May 7, 2022, abduction of 12 persons, who were working on the Kumba-Ekondo-Titi road, who has confessed!

Mbah, who was a commercial biker, who worked as a community agent for separatist fighters, is said to have confessed privately weeks ago. 

 He is said to have gone to the Divisional Office and confessed of his crime to the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO for Meme, Chamberlain Ntou’ou Ndong.

 Reports hold that after confessing, gendarme officers from the Kumba Gendarmerie Company, were called in to arrest him. He is said to be still being held incommunicado.

The Divisional Delegate of Public Works for Meme Division, Azange Emmanuel, is said to have made the information public to reporters on Thursday July 6.

Mbah, the delegate told reporters, was President of the Mbonge Road Bike Riders’ Association, when arrangements were being strengthened for rehabilitation works on the road to start.

The commercial biker attended the meeting and leaked every detail to Amba fighters and helped in planning how the 12 workers were abducted. 

Of the 12 persons abducted, two were killed while ten were in Amba captivity.

 The workers were kidnapped in the locality of Big Ekombe, Mbonge Subdivision.

  Azange disclosed that Mbah had vamoosed into thin air days after the workers were abducted. This, he said, was after, Mbah had received the sum of 1,200,000 FCFA from the families of Meta Ferdinand, who was Development Officer of the road works and Bella Lucien Joel, a grader operator. The money had been given to ease the release of the workers. 

Both Meta and Bella, surprisingly were killed by the fighters. Eight other persons were released later under unclear circumstances.

The killing of Meta and Bella, it is now being said, was because Mbah, who had received the sum of 1.2 million FCFA, from the families of the deceased claiming he was close to General 10 Kobo, rather disappeared without any trace.

Many are now saying that Mbah emerged from his hideout to surrender because of the torture he was receiving from the ghosts of the killed road workers.

To recall that like  in the case of  the five  Divisional Delegates and  a Chief of  Service abducted in  Bisoro-Balue village in  Ekondo-Titi, on June 15, 2021, it was ‘General 10 Kobo, who also led the abduction of the road workers.

He had first demanded a ransom of 200, 000,000 FCFA. On May 13, 2022, nine of the workers were released around 4:30p.m.  They were ferried to the Kumba Regional Hospital Annex for medical examination.
