Author, Dr Nyaa Hans, launches new book, ‘Jesus Christ in Hell’.

Renowned author and founder of Nyaa Publishers, Dr Nyaa Hans Andah, has launched his latest book, titled ‘Jesus Christ in Hell’.

The 194-page book divided into 12 chapters was launched Saturday July 8, in the nation’s capital, Yaounde.

The fascinating and suspense-filled narrative of the exploits of Jesus Christ in Hell, after his brutal murder on the cross was presented to the public in Yaounde.

The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the late Prof John Nkemngong Nkengasong, who was a key member of the editorial advisory board of Nyaa Publishers and a mentor to Dr Nyaa.

The Chairperson of the book launch, Prof Wilfred Mbacham, asked the audience to recite the Apostles creed, which according to him, laid the foundation for the understanding of the book.

The book, he said, revealed the truth of what happened between death and resurrection and most importantly the fact that “Jesus conquered death and rose after three days”.

On her part, the co-Chairperson, Jacqueline Mejang, said religion like administration has its secrets and “Dr Nyaa Hans has gone ahead to start revealing the secrets”.

Talking on behalf of Nyaa Publishers, the Marketing Officer, Emeline Njoh Nyaa, explained that the book launched Saturday was quite sensitive and controversial, but very enriching.

She said “we accepted to publish the book because it is a masterpiece and a huge contribution to research in Literature and Theology”.

Mejang added that they saw the book as a major positive contribution as far as the resurrection mystery of Jesus Christ is concerned.

The Marketing Officer also announced that they shall in the months ahead be launching their scientific bi-annual journal entitled ‘Nyaa Publishers Journal of Multidisciplinary Research” and it will be published from their UK branch.

She assured attendees that the funds raised during the book launch will be used to subsidize the publication of Children’s literature in Africa.

“We think that beginning with children will build a good foundation and an improved reading culture in Africa” Emiline Njoh Nyaa iterated.

The launch was marked by reviews from celebrated Professors. Rev Prof Epiemebong Louis did a theological appraisal drawing inspiration from the book of 1 Peter 3:18-20 while Prof Neba Che Divine did a literary appreciation of the piece.

During the launch, there was a performance of an excerpt of the novel dubbed ‘Jesus’ encounter with Adam and Eve’ by the theatre troop and Poetry Club of the University of Yaounde I.

The event was beautified with angelic ministrations from the Congregational Choir International, CCI of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Bastos. Meanwhile, several dignitaries, religious and academic figures were present at the event.

About the book

In the book, Dr Nyaa takes the readers to a journey in the hinder parts of the cosmos where Jesus Christ’s untold encounter against forces of darkness for the salvation of humanity took place.

The novel is a thriller that artfully blends fiction and profound knowledge of the Holy Scripture. The narrative breaks the silence about Christ’s three-day phenomenal campaign in hell.
