FECAFOOT Vice President opens federation’s can of worms.

The Fourth Vice President of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, Henry Njalla Quan Junior has denounced what he terms as “mafia”, “corruption” and numerous scandals rocking the footballing fabric of Cameroon.

In what is now seen as brouhaha between the Vice President against the National and South West Region Bureau of FECAFOOT, the football promoter has made starting revelations on the cankerworms that have continued to eat deep into the beautiful game of football in the country.

The outspoken owner of Njalla Quan Sports Academy of Limbe in the South West region, has made utterances depicting and castigating what he described as a “criminal cartel” in charge of football.

He says those presently managing football in the country are bent on destroying the future of young football players in the country.

The owner of the Njalla Quan SA, in what has been seen as opening FECAFOOT’s can of warms, published on his official Facebook account, series of denunciatory statements against the mafia unfolding in the country’s football arena on and off the pitch.

According to Henry Njalla Quan Junior, Cameroon football is being held in the hands of “criminal cartel” who are bent on destroying the future of young footballers.

He said that this group of mafia running football in the country are themselves the “deepest problem we have in the country.

“Individuals of very doubtful moral values are in charge of the destiny of thousands of young lads struggling to make a living and are further threatening the peace and stability of a country that spends billions of FCFA of taxpayer’s money each year just to promote football,” the FECAFOOT vice president claimed.

Using his region of origin, the South West Region as an example, he claimed has gone down in history as “the worst place on earth for young footballers,” as the leaders in the region are names one could find on the “list of most dangerous fraudsters in Cameroon”.

“People who give open death threats and make public declarations of being mafia lords and insisting that FECAFOOT is a mafia organisation and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

This was very evident on the 28th June 2023, a day which will go down as the darkest in the history of our football,” he claimed.

Corruption, organised crimes taking precedence

For over one year now, the FECAFOOT fourth vice president claimed he has been speaking against corruption and organized crime in Cameroon football but has not been taken seriously by any one.

He rather asserted that the accused have proceeded with lies, threats, slander, and character assassination in a bid to shut him up and continue to execute “their self-declared mafia on innocent children struggling to build a future for themselves”.

“Even after making revelations on the criminal cartel in charge of football in Cameroon, there has been no sign of redemption. Secret meetings have continued as they prepare to add to their collection of spectacular scandals!” he added.
