Gospel artiste, Sound Boy, to release song, Back up, June 2.

He made the announcement in a short video footage released through his social media handles recently. According to him, “Back up” is a new single of Rapper G4. 

It is drawn from the book of Jeremiah 33 verse 3, which says “call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” 

The song, he told The Guardian Post, is produced by a Cameroonian sound engineer and hip hop instrumental guru Gauixx. Gauixx has produced tracks for artists such as Mic Monsta and others.

He disclosed that the video was done by Lady Director, who is one of the best female videographers in Cameroon. 

Situating the meaning of the song, the gospel artiste said: “To me, it is clear that, the only true support we have is from God and this is the main message behind the song back up”.

God, he added, “has never failed and doesn't fail if called upon”, indicating further that: “Other songs will follow Back up as we prepare to release a third Album in 2024 with very high profile collaborations which I will not be disclosed at the moment”.

Commenting on some of his works, he noted that till date, he has over 15 solo videos in his nine-year career. The singer also has 17 awards to his credit. 

At the moment, he said there are two albums under his belt viz; New Creation and King's priest volume I. The third album, he stated, will see the light of day in 2024 and will coincide with his 10^th anniversary as a gospel singer.  He was once a secular musician

“For the past two years, he maintained that: “G4 has faced numerous health challenges”, indicating that he came “close to death twice after suffering from a lung infection and a stomach rupture which led to a surgery in the process”. He intimated that: “Without God” by his side, he would have died.
