Samuel Eto’o named new 1XBET brand ambassador.

The former Barcelona and Inter Milan ace forward was unveiled over the weekend.

This was during a presentation ceremony rich in pomp and fanfare in Yaoundé.    

Samuel Eto’o who replaces his former national teammate Rigobert Song, signed a 2-year deal with 1XBET.

Eto’o ambassadorial role, it was said, will help promote and grow the brand of the betting company in the country.  

He is also expected to engage in their community development projects which is part of the cooperate social responsibility of the company.

Speaking to the press during the event, Samuel Eto’o said he was thrilled by the mutually beneficial partnership.

He revealed that he was seduced by the lucrative deal. He added that he was convinced the partnership would help both parties attain their objectives.

“You don’t engage yourself in a contract if you think that it is not interesting. I found the contract very interesting and that  it could permit me go further. I love sharing with people, I love putting smiles on their faces,” Eto'o said. 

“The contract is a win-win partnership. It will enable me to attain my objectives. 1XBET will also be able to achieve theirs,” he added. 

Samuel Eto’o also pointed out contrary to public opinion, his new role as brand ambassador, will in no way create any conflict of interest with his duties as president of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.

On his part, the managing director of 1XBET, Steven Rodrigue Nbienou Kouadjo explained that they settled on Eto’o because he is an inspiration for the youth.

He added that they intend to give football a face lift. One of their priorities, he said, will be on the development of  Cameroon football, especially in the youth categories. 

He also announced plans to sign a partnership agreement with FECAFOOT to accompany them.

The signing of the partnership agreement between 1XBET and Samuel Eto’o took place in the presence of several dignitaries.
