At Labour Day celebration: Ntumfon Barrister Ndangoh lauds The Guardian Post for objective reporting.

The renowned forensic and criminal investigation expert made the remarks Monday May 1. 

He was speaking during a party organised to mark the 137^th edition of the International Labour Day at The Guardian Post head office at the Efoulan-Lac neighbourhood in Yaounde III Subdivision. 

The Labour Day party was an opportunity for management and staff of the daily newspaper to share a common meal, review strides made and seek solutions to challenges affecting the staff. 

The annual event was placed this year under the theme: “Resilience and decent work: Acting together in the world of work to improve living conditions and social inclusion”.

Speaking in his capacity as guest of honour, Ntumfon Barrister Ndangoh Tah expressed his delight to being at the magnificent head office of The Guardian Post and for meeting the crack team that works tirelessly each day to inform and educate the public of happenings from across the nation.

“I came here today to see those who have been following me through my different activities with factual reporting. I want to thank you for the wonderful job that you are doing,” the celebrated legal mind told The Guardian Post staff. 

Ntumfon Barrister Ndangoh said the credibility of the media organ has made it a reference in the country and beyond. 

“I have not come here for any long talk, but to encourage you in whatsoever thing you are doing. It is a marvellous job that you are doing in publishing The Guardian Post on a daily basis and even on Saturdays and Sundays,” he added. 

“…in all the corners of the world, people read The Guardian Post,” the award-winning lawyer said, before cheering the crack team for their courage to report certain hard issues affecting the life of the nation, and which other news organs shy from.

He also praised The Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian Post, Kristian Ngah Christian, for erecting a gigantic edifice to house the newspaper and its printing press. 

“I must say I am impressed with the wonderful structure the boss has put up here,” he stated, before adding that: “The Guardian Post’s head office structure is like a Ministerial building”.  

The renowned human rights advocate also used the opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the media organ for the prize conferred on him during the 2023 edition of The Guardian Post Achievement Awards last March.

For his part, the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian Post, Kristian Ngah Christian, appreciated that staff for their commitment and dedicated services to the enterprise. 

He also encouraged them not to relent on their efforts. He urged them to strive to better their output. 

Also present at The Guardian Post’s Labour Day party were: prominent international freelance journalist, Tamfu Arison; journalism trainer at the Advanced School of Mass Communication, ASMAC, Gilles Mbinglo and some former workers of The Guardian Post.
