Registration for the Miss Cameroon Twitter 2021 contest dubbed Miss237TT closes in under a week. For this edition of the contest, participants will be seeking to take home one million FCFA worth of prizes.
The winner for the contest will take home the sum of 350,000FCFA, while the first and second runners up will be awarded cash prizes of 200,000 FCFA and 150,000 FCFA respectively.
In addition to the 1,000,000 FCFA worth prizes stake, another award category is the Most Creative Team Content to be given the sum of 150,000FCFA. Another aspect of the competition, organisers highlighted, is the Green Challenge award with the sum of 10,000FCFA handed to winners weekly.
Participation, organisers had revealed weeks back, is open to ladies as young as 18, a drop from 21 last year. in case a lady below the age of 21 emerges winner however, she would need parental approval to access some of the benefits reserved for her, they noted.
“On the request concerning number of followers, the committee resolved that an aspiring contestant must have a minimum of 800 followers on or before the closing date of registration for the contest,” the organizing team announced in a September 21 release.
Registration, the organising team added, closes on Friday October 15, and the competition proper starts. The vision of the contest, organisers noted, is to build leadership skills in community development and empowerment, through humanitarian services.
Miss237TT, they added, also seeks to “discover, nurture and support young talents,” as well as “promote cultural diversity between English and French Cameroon with focus on all 10 regions of the country.”
