A well known American music group, Nelly’s Echo is in Cameroon for a weeklong tour, the United States embassy in Yaounde has announced in a statement sent to our newsroom.
The group is in the country to take part in a musical festival dubbed AmCamJam, the embassy said.
In the statement issued Friday, the US Embassy said it was “… excited to feature American music group Nelly’s Echo as part of the AmCamJam series of concerts, master classes, and educational workshops”.
The AmCamJam will take place from February 22 to 28, 2020, the statement detailed.
During their tour in Cameroon, Nellys Echo group, it has been announced will lead cultural exchange sessions with musicians, educational workshops for university and secondary level students, and headlinefree musical concerts for the general public that will highlight thecultural and friendship bonds shared between the peoples of the United States and Cameroon.
“Their appearance in Cameroon is supported by the U.S. Embassy and American Music Abroad” the statement said.
Today Monday at 3:00 pm, the group will participate at a Concert/Workshop at the Presbyterian Secondary School, Mfou near Yaounde.
It will on Tuesday at 3:00 pm performed at a Concert/Workshop at Institut Agricole d’Obala while on Wednesday at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, the group will organize a Master class for musician at La case des Arts, Essos.
It meanwhile on Friday at 3:00 pm, the group will organize a free live concert at Canal Olympia, Yaounde.
